A DAY WITH... LIZZY PERRIDON

My passion for fashion started showing since I was young. I would put my clothes ready for the next day every evening, at an age when usually the mom is doing that for their children. As a result, I probably developed my own style, there were far fewer influences from instagram or other social media.

LIFE AS A BLOGGER
I really want to show my followers what I like and I spend a lot of time on that. To get inspired, I like Pinterest and I keep in touch with the brands I work with as much as possible. I am very busy with new ideas, building contacts, e-mailing and creating content.

DRESS STYLE
My clothing style is quite extravagant, recently someone came to me recently to ask if I wear the clothes I wear on my instagram in everyday life. The answer to this is yes, because I like to wear what 'I' like. You will never see me in a basic outfit.

FIRST DESIGNER PIECE
Haha, I get this question often! My first designer piece was a Chanel bag, the classic flap bag with silver hardware. This bag was my ultimate dream-bag from an early age, after long working hours and a lot of savings I bought it. It is still one of my favourites!

INSPIRATION
All the way; Chiara Ferragni, I always find her very sympathetic to social media and she is certainly one of the reasons why I started Instagram. That is why you can say that she has been one of my biggest inspiration sources.

FAVORITE BLOGGERS
Andrea Belver, Chiara Ferragni and Marta Lozano Pascual these bloggers are really my favourites. I always look forward to their new posts. All three of these bloggers really have their own style and all three are very distinctive. What I love about their style is the way they come across on social media and how they deal with their followers. Really, cool "insta-personalities"!

''DO NOT BE LIKE THE REST OF THEM. ALWAYS GO OUT OF YOUR OWN STRENGTH AND EXPRESS YOUR OWN STYLE, ONLY THEN DO YOU AS A PERSON REALLY COME TO YOUR RIGHT. BY CONTRIBUTING WHAT YOU LIKE, YOU INSPIRE YOUR SURROUNDINGS AND RADIATE SELF-CONFIDENCE.''

JOB THAT I WOULD HAVE IF I HAD NOT BEEN A BLOGGER
If I were not a blogger I would have liked to be a fashion stylist for magazines. During my studies I did a very nice internship with Chantal Bles. I was given the opportunity to dress the candidates of The Voice of Holland. I enjoyed it so much and I had the intention to go further with this. Actually, my blog is also a kind of styling tool, I often hear from followers that they use my Instagram for their own styling or clothing inspiration, I think that's great!

BEST ADVICE EVER RECEIVED
It sounds very cliché but the best advice is probably that nothing comes naturally and you should never be afraid to fail and if you fail you should definitely continue.

FUTURE PLANS
My goal is to become as big as possible on social media, to inspire more people and later on to set up my own clothing label. There are always items that you are missing or that you would like to see differently in the collections offered in stores. With this in mind, it seems like a great idea to set up my own label.

BUCKETLIST
My ultimate goal is a trip to Tokyo. The stories, the labels and the photos that I have seen, I find it amazing. It seems to me super cool to be able to experience all this in real life and to see how the fashion world is there now. Another bucket list dream is to live in New York or Los Angeles for half a year or longer. I have already been in both cities and they inspire me enormously. What I also love about these cities, is that everyone compliments each other! That gives a positive feeling, in the Netherlands we do not dare. It is such a shame, because it can just make someone's day when you compliment them.
